Louise Purvis trained at the Hawkes Bay Polytechnic from 1987 - 1990.
Winning the Commonwealth Fellowship Award enabled Louise to study under Scottish sculptor Fred Bushe in the Aberdeen Scottish Sculpture Workshops, and visiting Professor George Beasley, Atlanta City University, School of Art in the United States.
Louise has been exhibiting since 1998 and has completed numerous private commissions. She is represented in a number of public and private collections and has received several regional art awards for her work. Louise also has a public sculpture in the Auckland Domain. |
