Patterns and Prints | All Levels

Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 August, 10am – 4pm

This weekend offers an inspiring and instructive step-by-step approach to screen printing using paper stencils and screen resist techniques. Colours are carefully mixed into fabulous combinations and using a choice of templates we will learn about pattern repeats. Students will take away several squares of their printed calico. Perfect for whipping up into your own unique cushions or crafts.

Experimental Safe Etching | All Levels

Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 August, 10am – 4pm

Etching using acid to create a printing plate is a method that has been used for hundreds of years. In this class students will learn and explore etching using a safe modern alternative. This is an experimental class where students will explore with various resists and methods of application producing several plates. Inking and printing of the plates using a flatbed etching press will be taught enabling the students to produce an abundance of finished prints ready for framing.

Oil Painting—Still Life | Beginner / Intermediate

Saturday 5 & Sunday 6 September, 10am – 4pm

This is a beginner and intermediate course, designed for those who want to learn the basic skills and techniques of oil painting. Students will learn about oil painting processes and will produce a small still life painting. The focus of this class will be on colour and composition. It will also demystify oil paint and explore this medium as an easy and forgiving medium for painters. This class will get you up and running in terms of choice of material and techniques.

Students are required to purchase materials for this class (a list of materials will be provided upon enrolment). This class is solvent free.

Artclay Silver—Glass Cabochon Pendant | All Levels

Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 September, 10am – 4pm

Learn how to make a glass cabochon in a microwave kiln, then using Artclay silver, students will create a beautiful pendant that they can wear.

NB: Cost includes glass and 10g silver pack. Glaze Ltd will be present over the course of the weekend if you would like to purchase additional materials.
