TERM 1 CHILDREN’S ART CLASSESHigh quality, low cost classes for students from ages 5 –14 years that support and stimulate their creative skills while recognising their individuality. Classes are taught by skilled, experienced local tutors who are either practicing artists or art educators. All term three classes are six sessions long and the course fee includes materials. |
WHEN THE TIDE IS OUT (6 – 12 YRS)

Have you ever explored the small world of a rock-pool and poked your finger in a sea anemone? Capture the wonder of this environment in a vibrant artwork using painting, printing and collage. Experiment with shape, texture and pattern; create sea anemones, limpets, kina and starfish and watch as they settle-in among the rocks. Be wary of sneaky crabs hiding behind Neptune’s-necklace!
IF CATS COULD FLY OR LEAVES WERE FISH..... (7 – 14 YRS)

In this class, we will look at Surrealism. Inspired by Dali, Magritte and other Surrealists. Children will explore various techniques eg splotch art, inkwork, frottage, double image art and collage. These techniques, along with drawing and painting, will contribute to their own surreal dreamscape artwork.
