Fantasy Creatures, 3D Sculpture | 5 - 8 years | 6 Weeks

Sue Clark

Mondays: 4 May – 15 June, 4pm – 5:30pm

Inspiration for your fantasy sculpture will be drawn from New Zealand animal and plant forms, from the night sky and the sea. We will use a variety of fabrics and fibres, wire and beading to create a unique 3D wall sculpture. Students will learn about weaving, colour and texture while exploring construction techniques and the manipulative qualities of fabrics and fibres.

FEE: $70

Portrait & Pattern: A Playful Printing Workshop | 7 - 12 years | 6 Weeks

Sarah Ormsby

Tuesdays: 5FMay – 9 June, 4pm – 5:30pm

Explore patterns ranging from Tapa to Mexican Folk Art, Indian miniatures and Street Art, and then combine them with your own portraits in a series of fun and creative prints. Students will create a linocut stamped personal banner, a screen printed silhouette portrait print, and a layered collagraph portrait. Explore the beautiful and bold process of print in this relaxed and fun workshop.

FEE: $70

Life in the Freezer | 5 - 8 years | 6 Weeks

Kairava Gullatz

Thursdays: 7 May – 11 June, 4pm – 5:30pm

This term our inspiration is Antarctica and its inhabitants when we use soft clay to shape unique sculptures. Penguins, icebergs, polar explorer vehicles and more will be appearing on our work tables, made by you, the young clay artists.

FEE: $70
