|Calling Knitters and crocheters of all skill levels, you are invited to participate in a new CEAC Community art project 'KNITTED GRAFFITI'
‘Knitted Graffiti’ is a group that has been meeting at Corban Estate Arts Centre for nearly three years. They have created obvious - and not so obvious - additions to the various knitted artworks seen outside the Corban Homestead Galleries and studios. A core group of members has managed some major projects, and this year they created ‘pop-ups’ all over. In true graffiti style, some of the work goes missing (fairy dolls, a small collection of bright crochet-covered pumice, as well as ‘The Scream’, that lasted only 2 weeks when they wrapped The Wine Depot last year). Meeting fortnightly on Fridays (9.30am - 12.30pm), they don't always knit/crochet projects; often personal, charity and family works are created over the tea/coffee cups. They welcome everyone who would like to sit around! You don’t need to join in their projects, just bring your own! If you would like to learn knit or crochet, they would also love to help.
