ANNE-SOPHIE ADELYS Anne-Sophie Adelys is a French-Kiwi artist who has been living in New Zealand since 2001 with her English Husband. She graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the French National Art School “Ecole des Beaux Arts” and then worked as a Graphic Designer in advertising for several years in France. Her work, both past and present has been largely focused on memories. Selective, reconstructed and subjective memory as an assemblage and an examination of life. She migrates between imagery, object and landscape as she addresses notions of memory and self in figurative narrative painting. She has been exhibiting in both solo and group shows in Auckland and Wellington. She now works part time for the Corban Estate Arts Centre as well as teaching art and painting in her studio in the Waitakere Ranges. www.adelys.co.nz Anne-Sophie is offering a one day lecture and demonstration on the basics of materials and oil painting on the 14th November.
