REALISM
Annual Affordable Art Show

CALL OUT FOR ARTISTS

Artists are invited to submit artworks for the annual affordable art exhibition at Corban Estate Arts Centre that work within parameters of realism.

Painters, printmakers, photographers, sculptors – any visual arts practitioners – are invited to submit affordable artworks in the genre of realism. It is hoped that artworks will explore the artistic traditions and boundaries of realism and be current works produced in 2013. This will be a cash ‘n carry exhibition and is aimed at being affordable over the Christmas period, artworks will be in the retail price range of $350 and under.

Submissions are due by Friday 25 October 2013 and should include:

• 2-4 images of current works intended for the exhibition which to have been made in 2013.
• Or 2-4 images of relevant works to give the curator an indication of your art practice
• An artist curriculum vitae or exhibition history. One page maximum.

Artists will be selected and notified by Friday 8 November. Selected artists will be eligible to submit 1-5 artworks for the exhibition. All artworks need to be delivered by Friday 22 November in order to be included in the exhibition. The exhibition will be on display in one of the Corban Homestead Galleries until from 6 December 2013 until 22 January 2014. The exhibition coincides with two contemporary realism exhibitions, ‘Inland Empire’ by Ruth Cleland and Gary McMillan and ‘Spun’ by Damien Kurth.

Please note artists will be responsible for collection or return delivery of unsold works. We also request that works on paper or photographs are framed to a professional standard.

To post your submission please provide a printed version of your CV and statement and include high resolution images on a CD. Alternatively email the curator with one PDF file of the submission that includes the CV, statement and supporting images in one document (please note files must be under 5MB to be received via email).
