Kia Ora Shorts | Film Screening

As the seven stars of the Pleiades become visible throughout Matariki, there will be a screening of seven Maori short films, presented by Leo Koziol, director of the Wairoa Maori Film Festival.

There will be two screenings:

Thursday 10 July - followed by a Q&A with some of the film's directors

Friday 11 July - screening only

Both screenings will be held at 7:30pm in the Opanuku Studio
Corban Estate Arts Centre.

$8 per ticket
Some content may not be suitable for children.

Dion Hitchens | Artist Talk

Saturday 12 July, 11am | Free
Artist Dion Hitchens will talk about his latest exhibition Bai Hu (The White Tiger of the West) and his multi-disciplinary practice which includes sculpture, LED light work and shadow puppetry.

Bai Hu | Kids Art Workshop

Saturday 19 July, 11am | Free
Children will create and construct simple shadow puppets by joining modular components together, and will create different characters. All art materials are provided.

Peata Larkin | Artist Talk

Saturday 26 July, 11am | Free
Join artist Peata Larkin in a conversation, about her latest exhibition Towards the Light. Larkin will discuss key concepts and give insight into what inspires her.
