Matariki is the name given to the cluster of stars that become visible in the pre-dawn sky in late May each year. The new moon following this event, heralds the month of Matariki, the Maori New Year. Matariki is traditionally a time for many things including being a time for reflection and honouring the past and a time to look to the future. At Corban Estate Arts Centre, we are celebrating Matariki in 2011 with a number of events:-
