Frequently Asked QuestionsHOW LONG DO MODULES LAST? All workshops are generally 1.5 hours - 2 hours in duration. We are open to discuss other options re the length of workshops with you.
WHAT TIMES ARE THE MODULES OFFERED? Most morning visits will be between 10am – 12pm, and most afternoon visits will be between 12.30pm - 2.30pm.
WHAT ARE THE SIZES OF THE GROUP? We can generally cater for up to 2 classes per visit (up to 30 students per class). Details about this can be discussed at time of booking.
Primary students – one adult to every 6 students Secondary students – one adult to every 20 students Early childhood – one adult to every 4 children
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? The Arts Education for Schools experience costs $4.00 per student. Teachers and parent helpers are free. With the support of the Waitakere Licensing Trust, schools that are Decile 4 and below within Waitakere City may be eligible for a discount.
HOW DO YOU PAY FOR THE VISIT? Full payment is by cheque prior to the visit or on the day of the visit. A tax receipt will be provided. Please pay at the CEAC reception located in the Gallery at the Homestead.
DO YOU HAVE TO BOOK? All workshops need to be pre-booked. However requests are subject to resources being available, so we advise you to book well in advance. Requests for bookings must be a minimum of two weeks ahead of the proposed visit.

Please include the following information in your booking request:
• The number of students attending • The year group of students • Choice of module and workshop • 3 possible dates for your visit
An information package containing ‘Guidelines for teachers visiting CEAC” and a RAMS (Risk Assessment Management System) checklist will be emailed to you once we have received notification of your visit. Please read this information carefully.
WHAT IF PLANS CHANGE AND A BOOKING NEEDS TO BE CANCELLED? If it is necessary to cancel your booking, please do so as early as possible. We must receive notification at least 3 days prior to your confirmed booking. Cancellations on the day or a failure to show, will incur a $50.00 cancellation fee.
