| Planning a Visit |
How long will a workshop last? All workshops are generally 2 hours in duration, however other options regarding the length of workshops can be discussed with you.
What time are the workshop offered? Most morning visits will be between 10:00am - 12:00pm, and most afternoon visits will be between 12:30pm – 2.30pm.
What are the sizes of the group? We can generally cater for up to 2 classes per visit, 60 students at a time with up to 30 students per class. Details about numbers can be discussed at the time of booking. The Ministry requires the following adult to child ratio: Primary students – one adult to every 6 students Secondary students – one adult to every 20 students
Can you help with the bus fare? Thanks to the ASB Community Trust, we are fortunate to have funding available to assist schools with bus fares when they visit our LEOTC programme.
The bus subsidy is available to all Auckland schools. The cost of a bus can be reimbursed for up to $200. School will organise the booking with a bus company, and pay the invoice, then will claim subsidy back from CEAC by filling out a reimbursement claim form and providing a copy of the bus company invoice.

Do you have to book? All workshops need to be pre-booked. Requests are subject to resources being available, so we advise you book well in advance. Requests for bookings must be a minimum of two weeks ahead of the proposed visit. Booking forms MUST be filled in. No verbal bookings can be accepted. Billing will be according to the numbers pre booked.
What if plans change and a booking has to be cancelled? If it is necessary to cancel your booking, please do so as early as possible. We must receive notification at least 1 week prior to your confirmed booking. Cancellations on the day or a failure to show, will incur a $50.00 cancellation fee.
How do you pay for the visit? An Invoice based on the quote, will be sent to your school a few days after the visit.
