BARREL STORE

CHARACTER EXHIBITION SPACE FOR HIRE

The Barrel Store is a very unique character space awaiting restoration and renovation. Meanwhile this space is being hired in its current state to artists for pop up exhibitions, art projects and events at a very reasonable rate.

The venue has a split level floor and measures 24.3metres x 4.7 metres.

Due to the Barrel Store’s pre-renovation state there are some known leaks, no alarm system, and the exhibitions, projects or events are not covered by CEAC’s insurance policy. This space may not be suitable for all activities but we welcome you to make enquiries about this character filled space situated near the Corban Estate Arts Centre (CEAC) main entrance.

For exhibitions in the Barrel Store, exhibitors are responsible for installation and deinstallation, managing the space throughout the exhibition, providing all exhibition equipment, advertising, organisation of the opening event and covering any costs involved. The space comes with electrical points, please note any lights or heating would need to be supplied by the hirer. Lights and display solutions can also be hired from Waitakere Central Community Arts Council (WCCAC).

CORBAN ESTATE GREEN AREAS

The park-like grounds at the rear of the Corban Estate (behind Homestead) are available for hire for events and activities. To book this space we recommend you contact CEAC staff to discuss.
