Exhibition
Give a Kid a Blanket started in 2015 as a grassroots response to help kids and families living in cold and damp conditions in Aotearoa. Now in its sixth year, this social art project takes a creative approach to local challenges by bringing communities together and offering practical support with a focus on kindness. As part of the Auckland Festival of Photography, this exhibition presents the community activated art action lead and documented by West Auckland based artists Bernie Harfleet and Donna Turtle Sarten.
*Donations of new and excellent preloved blankets are welcome at the gallery.

Kites that fly our words high up in the sky. This workshop takes cues from the rich history of Protest art in Aotearoa, and asks young people what they would want to say and then gives them the tools to fly their words high for everyone to see.
