Workshop
In this clay workshop, students will use hand-building techniques to design and shape their own lidded container. They will then decorate their boxes with ocean-inspired objects, creatures or motifs, learning a variety of decorative techniques including slip adhering, scratching and application of vibrant pigments.
Pieces will be glazed and fired, making their vessels fully functional for everyday use.
Allow three weeks for firing and glazing.
Your term curriculum topic can easily be integrated into this workshop upon request.

Class length: 3 hours (including 20 minute break).
Group size: Up to 60
We cater to any class size, however groups of less than 35 students do incur a minimum fee based on materials and educators’ time.
Classes can be held at Corban Estate Arts Centre, or at your school by arrangement.
